built, very comfortable lodges and cottages overlook the River Suir valley and
the distant Knockmealdown Mountains. Once the Earl of Glengall's hunting lodge,
Kilcoran is now home to a small hotel, with bar and leisure centre, and nine new
lodges individually placed in the grounds (two of which we offer here) as well
as Elm and Oak Cottages, two of seven mews cottages set in a horseshoe shaped
courtyard. The area is noted for its wonderful walking, and a visit to the
Mitchellstown Caves, is a must (10 miles). Scenic roads through the valleys
provide a dramatic introduction to the coastline at Dungarvan and Youghal, and
the historic cities of Cork, Kilkenny and Waterford and the mountains and lakes
of Killarney are all under 1½ hours' drive. The ancient priory on the famous
