Unless you are hell-bent on ignoring Snowdon, wherever you play in the north west tip of Wales it is very difficult to escape being stunned by the views.
Even the most focused golfer can't remain oblivious to these surroundings and at Caernarfon they are particularly proud of the spectacular sights of the mountains, the Menai Strait and Anglesey that can be seen from everywhere on the course and particularly from the 7th and 10th holes.
Built in 1900, this was one of the first courses in the area and it is only a short distance along the shoreline of the Strait to Caernarfon Castle and this historic Royal Town.
The course was redesigned in 1981 and has since benifited from many improvements to the layout and to the clubhouse.
They claim that it has never played better and pride themselves on the state of their fairways and greens and try to keep them in good condition all the year round.
They welcome visitors and there are special visitors days with generous concessions.
